Massachusetts Educational Theater Guild Competition

The Burncoat Drama Club recently competed in the Massachusetts Educational Theater Guild competition placing 4th overall. In addition, students Ethan Brozovsky and Quinlan Fitzgerald, both freshmen in the program, won ALL STAR ACTING AWARDS at this annual competition on February 27th in Westford, MA.

Congratulations to the Burncoat Dance Team who finished 1st at the MSSAA Dance Team Tournament. The school won their second straight title and the team's third. The JV squad finished 2nd.

Students from the Burncoat Magnet Visual Arts Program (Worcester Arts Magnet, Burncoat Middle, and Burncoat High) have continued to collaborate and create by pushing the boundaries of IMAGINATION AND INGENUITY. By exploring multiple mediums, these artists have interpreted the many manifestations of the color BLUE.

You all have heard of the No Child Left Behind Act that brought many layers of accountability to schools and school districts. I refer to it, not because of what the act represented, but because of the powerful message behind the words "No Child Left Behind".

Congratulations MLK Jr. Art Contest Winners and Teachers

Congratulations to the students who won or placed in the Martin Luther King, Jr. Essay/Art contest and whose work will be on display at the Worcester Historical Museum from January 12, 2016 through February 27, 2016. They will be honored on January 30 at the Historical Museum beginning at 1 pm.
