Quad wins WEC'apella Competition
The Quad competed in the second-annual WEC'apella festival at Mechanic's Hall. Also participating in the High School Division were Abby Kelly Foster Regional Charter High, Doherty High and South High. In the College Division, Clark University, Anna Maria College, Assumption College, WPI and The College of the Holy Cross competed, as well.
It was a tremendously entertaining night with excellent performances by everyone and was hosted by Noah Lis of THE VOICE.
The Quad performed ANGEL by Sarah McLachlan and DOWN ON THE CORNER by Credence Clearwater Rival. Students were responsible for everything from producing the first pitch, to starting the pieces together to ending together and they executed their performance very well.
When the votes were tallied, The Quad won the competition.
Soloists Joel Adade, Ryan McCarthy, Kylie Thomas and Quin Fitzgerald were fantastic!
As a result of this win, The Quad, and The Assumption College Hound Sound, will now be the opening acts for the a Capella ensemble SIX APPEAL at The Hanover Theater in May.
