BHS Library Renovation Ribbon Cutting

BHS Library Ribbon Cutting

Three years after the launch of Worcester’s highly regarded “One City, One Library” project to improve libraries in the city’s schools, a local employer is continuing the spirit of the program by renovating the Burncoat High School library.

Volunteers from AbbVie, a global biopharmaceutical company, partnered with the Worcester Public Schools Facilities Team to complete a READesign School Library Makeover space transformation – complete with a new and improved design and layout, furniture, library books, technology and books for students to take home as their own.

Burncoat High School is physically connected with Burncoat Middle School, where AbbVie completed a similar library makeover last year, giving students access to improved library resources throughout some of the most important school years.

Superintendent Maureen Binienda attended the event with BHS Principal William Foley and other community leaders and elected officials.
